MS Heavy Haul – Matt Smith Heavy Haul

Equipment & Services

Services & Coverage

Oversize and overweight freight is our focus — lowboys, RGNs, multi-axle setups and step decks, with in-house permits and escorts.

Equipment & Services

The Right Trailer for the Load

Oversize and overweight freight is our focus. We match every load to the setup that moves it safely and legally — from a single piece of equipment to heavy industrial components.

Lowboy

A deck that sits just inches off the ground, giving tall and heavy loads the extra clearance they need under bridges and power lines.

Typical freight

  • Excavators & dozers
  • Tall construction equipment
  • Heavy industrial machinery

RGN (Removable Gooseneck)

The front of the trailer detaches and drops to the ground, creating a ramp so self-propelled equipment can drive straight on — no crane needed.

Typical freight

  • Loaders, dozers & graders
  • Ag tractors & combines
  • Tracked & wheeled machines

Multi-Axle Setups

Large configurations with extra axles spread the weight of very heavy loads so they can move within permitted axle limits.

Typical freight

  • Large steel structures
  • Heavy industrial components
  • Mining & large construction equipment

Step Deck

An upper and a lower deck give more height than a flatbed for freight that's tall but doesn't need a lowboy.

Typical freight

  • Smaller equipment & machinery
  • Tall palletized & crated freight
  • Building & industrial materials

Not sure which trailer you need?

Send us the dimensions and weight of your load and we'll recommend the setup that fits. Oversize and overweight moves need the right trailer, the right route, and the right permits — we'll walk you through it.

Why MS Heavy Haul

Built for Big, Heavy & Complicated

Heavy haul isn't just trucking with a bigger trailer. Every load has its own dimensions, weight, route, and permit requirements. That's the work we focus on.

Heavy Haul Is the Focus

Lowboys, RGNs, and multi-axle setups are the core of what we run — not a side offering.

Owner-Led Accountability

MS stands for Matt Smith. You're working with the owner's name on the door and on every load.

Regional Strength, National Range

Based in Dallas, focused on the Southeast, and ready to run long cross-country oversize lanes.

Safety First

Proper load securement, equipment checks, and oversize signage and flags on every move.

In-House Permits & Route Surveys

Our own permit service handles oversize/overweight permits and can run route surveys, so your move is planned and permitted before it rolls.

In-House Escorts

We run our own escort / pilot car service, so loads that require escorts are covered without waiting on a third party.

Safety & Compliance

Done Safely. Done by the Book.

Oversize and overweight freight comes with extra rules. We plan every move around safety, permits, and escorts, and we can provide the paperwork you need before the truck shows up.
